Småland’s Stufvenäs has a lot to offer and here you don’t have to go far to get rich in nature experiences. With birds chirping and joy right outside the door, there are many activities to create memories around – and which are worth longing for.
Start your summer mornings in nature and kick-start your body before the day’s activities begin.
Monday-Sunday at 09.30-10.00 am we run a training session down by the sea. Circuit fitness that is outdoors with your own body as a tool. Clothes after the weather. The session is led by our skilled spa therapists and no prior knowledge is required. Bring a water bottle. Gathering at the hotel reception.
The pass is free for hotel guests and must be pre-booked or canceled no later than 6 pm the day before.
Every day throughout the summer, we have activities for all senses. Everything from sweating in the forest to getting a taste experience of an exciting wine at a wine tasting with one of our talented sommeliers. Or why not relax in one of the pools and then end the evening on the balcony in our cocktail lounge?
On warm days, it can be nice to take a bath in Kalmarsund. Fulvik’s beach offers long, shallow, and lovely sandy beaches, just ten minute walk from Stufvenäs.
Outside of Stufvenäs, in Kalmar Strait, there are both Gransö and Värnanäs seal protection areas, which stretch over skerries and shoals a couple of kilometers out in the sea. Here is the largest population of harbor seals in the entire Baltic Sea.
Walk our Nature trail which is 1.6 kilometers and has a clever quiz you can solve on the way. Sometimes there are training exercises on the poles for you who like to workout.
With its unique variety of vegetation and rich bird life, the nature reserve Örarevet has beautiful nature worth experiencing. Along Örarevet there are plenty of coffee and barbecue places, so feel free to buy a coffee basket with you on the walk from the restaurant.
Take a walk and experience the magnificent Stufvenäs Oak tree, which is approximately 800 years old. According to the County Administrative Board, the oak is Småland’s second largest with a circumference of 9.7 meters.
The path to the oak tree winds through the beautiful broadleaf forest and passes several different tree species on the way. There are benches along the path so you can sit down and enjoy nature for a while.
